NuTherm PF-50 Heat Transfer Fluid - 2.5 Gallon
(Compare to Dynalene HC-50)
NuTherm PF-50 is a high-performance heat transfer fluid designed as an alternative to less effect fluid such as glycol, PAG, and Calcium Chloride open bath fluids. Nutherm PF-50 is NON-Toxic, NON-flammable, and has a robust corrosion inhibition package making it ideal for use in open bath systems down to -51°C(-60°F).
NuTherm PF-50 has superior thermophysical properties in comparison to traditional open bath heat transfer fluids, including higher thermal conductivity and specific heat, as well as lower viscosity, making it an extraordinarily more efficient open bath coolant within its operating parameters. NuTherm PF-50 is formulated with a incredibly robust and efficient corrosion inhibition package, allowing the product to be used on most metals including Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Cast Steel, Copper and its alloys (Brass & Bronze), Monel, Nickel, Hastelloy, Inconel, Tantalum, Titanium, Titanium alloys (Ti6Al4V), Aluminium and Cast Iron. Do not use on Zinc, Zinc-plated or galvanized metals, Magnesium. NuTherm PF-50 corrosion tests at 80 °C show incredible results of 0.01 mmpy (0.45 mpy) on C260 Brass alloys, <0.01 mmpy (0.01 mpy) on 304L Stainless Steel, and 0.01 mmpy (0.23 mpy) on AL1100 Aluminium. NuThem PF-50 does not produce pitting corrosion on Aluminium alloys like other Potassium Formate open bath heat transfer fluids when comparing to Dynalene HC-50.
