Mechanical Cold Trap
– Across International
This Mechanical Cold Trap condenses vapors (except the permanent gases) into liquid or solid form. This is particularly useful in vacuum applications.
Eliminate unwanted vapors and contamination.
The most common goal of a mechanical cold trap is to prevent vapors that are evacuated from an experiment from entering into a vacuum pump, where they could condense and possibly contaminate the pump.
It is common practice to have a mechanical cold trap placed in between the pump and the rest of the system. This trap will help protect your pump while adding longevity to it, saving you money and preventing costly repairs.
A maximum of 300mL per mechanical cold trap.
The chiller can handle multiple kinds of chilling fluid, and the refrigerant used is R410A (and only R410A). The cold traps included in this kit can hold a maximum of 300 mL per trap.
